Remai (“we”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Remai app.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

The email address associated with your Apple ID when you sign up. We do not collect your Apple ID password.

App usage data

  • Tasks, calendar events, goals, and projects you create
  • Interactions with AI Coach, AI Briefing, and AI Recap
  • Streaks, XP points, and achievements
  • App settings: theme, colors, language

Device information

Device type, iOS version, system language — used only to optimize your experience.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Provide services: Store tasks, generate AI Briefings, track goals
  • Improve AI: Analyze interactions for smarter recommendations
  • Usage analytics: Understand how users interact with the app to improve the product

3. Data Storage

Offline-first: Remai is designed to operate primarily on your device. Core data is stored locally on your device.

When you enable sync, data is encrypted end-to-end before being sent to our servers. We cannot read the content of your encrypted data.

4. AI Data

Remai uses AI to provide features:

  • AI Coach: Analyzes habits and suggests improvements
  • AI Briefing: Daily summary, energy forecast, schedule conflict alerts
  • AI Recap: Daily and weekly recaps

AI data is processed in real-time and not stored long-term on AI servers. Training data does not use your personal information.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Apple App Store: Manages downloads and subscription payments
  • Plausible Analytics: Web analytics — cookie-free, GDPR-compliant without consent banners

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking tools.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Ever.

We only share data with third parties when:

  • You give explicit consent
  • Necessary to provide the service (e.g., Apple processes payments)
  • Required by law

7. Data Retention

  • On device: Until you delete it
  • Sync data: 90 days after account deletion
  • AI data: Not stored long-term

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: View all data we hold about you
  • Delete: Request deletion of all your data
  • Export: Download your data in a readable format
  • Object: Refuse unnecessary data collection

9. Children’s Privacy

Remai is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Security

We use:

  • End-to-end encryption for synced data
  • TLS encryption for all data transmission
  • Restricted and monitored server access

We may update this policy over time. We will notify you via the app when significant changes occur. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
